Pathology
Varicocele is a condition characterized by the dilation of veins in the scrotum, similar to varicose veins that occur in the legs. It is one of the most common causes of male infertility and is more common in men between the ages of 15 and 35.
Symptoms
- Pain or discomfort: Some men may experience pain or discomfort in the scrotum, which can worsen with physical activity or prolonged standing.
- Feeling of heaviness: Varicocele can cause a feeling of heaviness or a sensation of a lump in the scrotum.
- Reduced testicle size: In some cases, the testicle affected by varicocele may appear smaller compared to the unaffected testicle.
Varicocele treatment
To determine the most appropriate treatment for varicocele, it is advised to schedule an appointment with Professor Christian Gozzi for a specialist consultation.
