Pathology
Phimosis is a condition in which the prepuce, the fold of skin that covers the glans of the penis, is too tight or rigid to be fully retracted. This can cause hygiene problems and discomfort during daily activities and sexual intercourse.
Symptoms
- Inability to retract the prepuce: The prepuce cannot be pulled back completely, making it difficult to fully expose the glans.
- Pain or discomfort: Phimosis can cause pain or discomfort during erection, urination, or sexual intercourse.
- Difficulty with hygiene: Due to the restriction in prepuce retraction, it can be challenging to clean the glans properly, increasing the risk of infections or inflammations.
Treatment
To understand the most appropriate treatment for phimosis, it is advisable to schedule an appointment with Professor Christian Gozzi for a specialist consultation.
